As architecture students, you have to stay creative to translate any available perspective / vision at/from home and express it into tangible architectural products to keep ourselves productive. Subject matter for the sketching may be anything you can grasp within your home AND that may include any vision available on your mobile phone, television, internet., etc. and of course, any perspective through out your windows!

Showcase of your work must be of the best quality AND do the necessary editting to ensure you are complying to the given time frame for the timelapse requirements.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS & Procedures

Participant must submit online the following works;
(1) ABSTRACT IDEAS
(2) DIGITIZED ARTWORK (SKETCH) and
(3) TIME LAPSE VIDEO
by 31st May 2020(extended deadline).

SUBMISSION RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • All entries must be originally made for the PAM-ARTLINE SKETCH AT HOME COMPETITION 2020 and have not been featured anywhere else OR have been previously submitted in any other competitions;
  • Original artwork must be sketched using Artline product(s) on any type of paper;
  • Artworks must be relevant to the theme and will be judged based on the artist’s creativity and originality of the depicted theme;
  • Sketch can be either in black and white or color;
  • Digitized artwork must be scanned (or photograph) from the original sketch of the participant;
  • Digitized artwork format: JPEG format and must be a clear and bright picture in a scanned / photograph image (width or height of at least 1080 pixels, less than 10MB);
  • Digital processing of drawing, painting and coloring is not accepted;
  • While original hardcopy of artwork may not be required for this submission, participants are advised to keep the hardcopy evidence as their masterpiece and for the purpose of display if their work is shortlisted as the top winners during physical appreciation ceremony (if any, after the MCO) to be announced by the organizer;
  • Time lapse video format:  MP4 format with maximum video length of 120 seconds using landscape frame aspect ratio 16:9 (HD widescreen) OR landscape frame aspect ratio  4:3 (standard) only;
  • The timelapse video recording must show clearly the use of Artline product(s) while sketching;
  • Video narration (audio OR text, If any) must be in English;
  • No part of the video may contain prohibited, offensive or objectionable materials (political, language, nudity, sexual etc.);
  • Participants must ensure they have full ownership of the materials submitted (footage, music, images, typography etc.). 
  • Entries containing any unauthorised content will be disqualified;
  • The organizer reserves the right to upload your video submission into an approved video channel prior to OR during OR after the judging sessions;
  • New Era Enterprises Sdn Bhd AND Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia AND their authorized agent(s) OR affiliate(s) reserve the right to reproduce AND/OR retain in full or part of the submitted works AND/OR recordings for the purpose of publication AND/OR the purpose of archiving and exhibition AND/OR the purpose of any marketing activities and promotional materials with credit of works remain owned by the submitter(s).

Judging Criteria

The jury shall evaluate the entries based on delivery of theme, sketching skills and quality of the production. Panel jury reserves the right to apply appropriate waiver in the case of insufficient qualified short listed entries for the judging session. ALL JUDGING DECISIONS MADE ARE FINAL.
